At Fall Town Design, we prefer to establish a realistic project budget early so the design, products, and selections are appropriate for the investment you want to make.

The active construction portion of a complete kitchen renovation commonly takes approximately 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project. The overall process begins earlier. Design development, product selections, cabinetry production, appliance availability, countertop coordination, permitting, and contractor scheduling can all occur before demolition starts. Completing as much planning as possible beforehand helps the actual construction phase move more efficiently.

Square footage is only part of the equation. Two kitchens with the same footprint can have dramatically different costs depending on cabinetry, countertops, appliances, flooring, lighting, plumbing, electrical work, structural changes, and finish level. That is why we focus on the entire project scope rather than trying to estimate a kitchen based only on square footage.

Not every client needs every service. Some homeowners come to us for a complete design and product package, while others may only need cabinetry, countertops, design assistance, or one part of a larger project.

Yes. Our 3D design and rendering software allows you to see layouts, cabinetry, colors, countertops, finishes, and other design elements before construction begins. This makes it much easier to compare options and make changes while they are still on the screen rather than after products have been ordered or installed.

Yes. A good renovation is not always about simply replacing what is already there. We can look at traffic flow, storage, appliance placement, work areas, cabinetry, door locations, and other details to determine whether the existing layout can be improved. Sometimes relatively small changes can make a major difference in how a room functions.

Yes. Our cabinetry offerings range from value-oriented lines through semi-custom and highly configurable options. Not every kitchen requires fully custom cabinetry. A good designer can often achieve the look and function a homeowner wants using semi-custom cabinetry while saving money for other areas of the project.

No. We can help source many of the products required for a project, including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, sinks, faucets, fixtures, flooring, and other finish materials. Clients may also have certain products they want to purchase independently. We simply recommend discussing those items early so dimensions, availability, compatibility, installation requirements, and warranties can be considered as part of the overall design.

Absolutely. You do not need to turn over your entire project to Fall Town Design in order to work with us. We can provide design, cabinetry, countertops, hardware, fixtures, drawings, product selections, and other services while your own builder or contractor handles the construction.

Yes. We regularly work with homeowners as well as builders, contractors, architects, and other design professionals. A contractor may use Fall Town Design for cabinetry, kitchen or bath design, 3D visualization, countertops, product selections, drawings, or other project-specific services while continuing to manage their own construction project. Our role can be tailored to what the homeowner and contractor actually need.

Yes. Professional installation is available for qualifying projects and products. Some clients want us involved from design through installation, while others already have a builder or contractor who will handle the construction. Both approaches work. We establish responsibilities early so everyone understands which parts of the project we are providing.

No. If you already have a builder or contractor you want to work with, they can generally install products supplied through Fall Town Design, subject to applicable project and manufacturer requirements. Professional installation is an available service, not a requirement for every customer.

In many cases, yes, although it can be disruptive. Many homeowners create a temporary food-preparation area elsewhere in the home using a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and other small appliances. Larger renovations involving extensive demolition or utility shutdowns may be more difficult to live through. We recommend understanding the likely disruption before construction begins so you can plan accordingly.

Usually, if another functioning bathroom is available. If the bathroom being renovated is the home's only bathroom, temporary arrangements may be needed during at least part of the project. That should be discussed early because it can affect scheduling and logistics.

Yes. Outdoor kitchens can include cabinetry, countertops, grills, refrigeration, sinks, storage, and other outdoor-living features. Because these spaces are exposed to weather and temperature changes, choosing materials specifically designed for outdoor use is especially important.

Our showroom is located in Bernardston, Massachusetts, and we primarily work with homeowners and building professionals throughout Western Massachusetts, Southern Vermont, and Southwestern New Hampshire. The practical service area may vary depending on the size and type of project. If you're unsure whether your location is within our service area, contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your project.

Walk-ins are welcome during normal showroom hours, but we recommend scheduling an appointment if you'd like dedicated time with one of our designers. That allows us to learn about your project and make sure the appropriate person is available to work with you.
